Cookie policy

Last updated 15 October 2026

Only strictly necessary cookies

The monetisation.ai website and application set only cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the service you ask for: keeping you signed in, protecting forms against forged requests, and making sure the one-time sample audit works fairly. These cookies do not need consent under EU rules, so we do not show a cookie banner.

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, social media pixels or any cookie from a third party.

The cookies we set

Cookie Purpose Duration
monetisation-session Keeps your session, including sign-in, between pages 2 hours after your last activity
XSRF-TOKEN Protects forms and actions against cross-site request forgery Same as the session
remember_web_* Keeps you signed in on this browser, only if you choose "remember me" Until you sign out, at most 12 months
mz_visitor Remembers that this browser has already used its one-time sample audit 12 months

The mz_visitor cookie holds a random identifier and nothing else. It is strictly necessary to provide the sample audit you request on fair terms, one per visitor, so the sample audit cannot be run again and again at the expense of the service.

Analytics without cookies

We measure how our website is used with aggregated analytics that do not set cookies, do not use local storage and do not identify individual visitors. We see totals such as page views and referring sites, not profiles of people.

The experiment snippet on customers' websites

Customers on the Growth and Scale plans can install an optional experiment snippet on their own website to test pricing page and paywall variants. On those sites, the snippet stores a random visitor ID in the browser's localStorage so the same visitor keeps seeing the same variant. That storage belongs to the customer's website, and the customer decides how it is covered by their own cookie policy and privacy notice. It does not set anything on monetisation.ai and it is not used to track people across sites.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the cookies above, you cannot sign in, and the sample audit may not work. Removing mz_visitor does not reset the limit on sample audits, because we also use a hashed IP address for that purpose, as described in the privacy policy.
